UPCOMING PERFORMANCES

The Fibonacci String Quartet is one of Europe’s leading young string quartets, regularly performing at venues such as Wigmore Hall, Auditorio Sony, Conway Hall, and Museo del Violino, Cremona. It is an international ensemble, bringing together Czech, Belgian, Welsh and Scottish cultures. The quartet is part of the Dutch String Quartet Academy (NSKA) and a resident ensemble at the International Institute of Chamber Music in Madrid of the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía under the guidance of Günter Pichler (Alban Berg Quartett).

Since their formation they have participated in numerous masterclasses and projects with amongst others Günter Pichler, Gary Hoffman, Marc Danel, Adrian Brendel, the Gould Piano Trio, the Endellion Quartet, the Bozzini Quartet, the Castalian Quartet, the Consone Quartet and the Chilingirian Quartet.

Competition successes include first prizes and special awards in the Beethoven Competition in London, Saint James Chamber Music Prize as well as the international „Triomphe de l’Art“ Chamber Music Competition in Brussels. The quartet received the audience award at the Festival Jong Talent Schiermonnikoog (the Netherlands), which led to their recent concert at the International Chamber Music Festival Schiermonnikoog.

The Fibonacci Quartet is generously supported by the British classical music charity Talent Unlimited (London) and has been invited to be a part of the “Le Dimore del Quartetto” network (Italy). They are also recipients of the Adami grants for artistic development.

The quartet regularly performs in the UK and Europe.
